and here we are again, enjoying the long, lazy summer days, and Emmett and Owen turning 4 (FOUR!) on Saturday!! They are growing and changing and developing, and even though I become so frustrated at times because they are not doing things that I feel lke they should be doing, (like potty training, and using short sentences, and saying what is bothering them rather than throwing tantrums, and being more adventurous when it comes to tasting food- they are still completely tube fed via the J-tube. Though there has been a little bit of progress - they are fed into the stomach for thirty minutes/day. Owen is tolerating it, Emmett, not so much), they really HAVE progressed incredibly well.
We are beginning to see some different possible types of processing disorders, (we, meaning the people that I have been saying this to all along, as I knew when they were around 18 months old that things were not as they should be), such as auditory processing and sensory processing disorders. To be fair, though, I think ALL my children suffer from hearing loss when chores need to be done! 😂
At any rate, these are my boys. And they are amazing. And they are turning 4. Bring on the 4-year-olds' photo shoot.
All that to say this - we are still here. The twins are still making progress, and our life is still crazy! I wouldn't have it any other way.
3 good things:
1. Nap times!
3. Sweet family memories.
May God Bless you all until next time, my friends!!
